Belize City, Friday, 20^th August 2010 - The recently incorporated Belize Sailing Association has selected Sunday 12^th September for the Battle of St George's Caye Day Regatta. The day event will be held on St George’s Caye as part of the September Celebrations.

Water taxis shuttle will be available from the Princess Marina to St George’s Caye and back. BBQ and drinks will be on sale.

There will be nine classes including traditional sailing sloops, dories and lighters. There will be short courses for the high performance sail boats and a longer course for the lighters and catamarans. The courses will be international type and near the shore for maximum spectator interface.

Amateur sailors could apply for crew status to assist in crewing some of the race boats.
